LS400 HID/Halogen
I have a 1st generation LS400 and I want to change my headlights to Halogen or HIDs. Im not sure which is better or if both are possible. What type of bulb is used in the 1st gens?

Your '90 LS400 is already equipped with halogen headlights, so I'm assuming you're talking about hyper-white halogens (the ones that give off a blue-ish/purple-ish white color to achieve the "HID look"). Hyper-white halogens are a cheaper alternative to HIDs, but I would say it is well worth to invest your money in a genuine set of HIDs over halogens since HIDs will last the same amount of time as having to replace burned out halogen bulbs over and over....on top of that, HIDs will give you a lot more light output over halogens.
1st gens use 9004 ('89-'92) or 9003 ('93-'94) applications.

One of our vendors offers a 4300K (pure white light output) kit and a 6000K (pure white with a hint of purple tint) kit.
