Talking Yellow Capsule Retro

Today I had the day off so I decided to perform a yellow capsule retro. This was my first stab at fogs and I warn you they are hard as hell to get apart. The glue actually gets dry and foamy not the same stuff used on the headlights which gets sticky and mollases like. After 3 hours of patient and tedious prying I finally got them apart. I didnt want to drill holes in the reflectors so i used JBWeld to hold them in place. I know these are crappy cell phone pics but I'll take some night shots with my Dimage Z1 tonight. There is no glare as seen in these pics cause like I said cell phone cams suck. I let my cousin borrow it on her vacation to take good pics she'll be home tonight.

On the cell phone pics my fogs were aimed too high after retrofitting so I reaimed them to a more uniform line. Cousin didnt get home til late by then I was already sleeping I got up this morning and took these. Car hasnt been washed since thanksgiving lol Been raining alot here lately so I havent bothered.

I think its pretty rich my cuz has all my camera settings off so some pics show more orange than what it really is and a little glare. Im using regular 9006 bulbs but going to put silver stars in to see how they fare. I also noticed that fogs when aimed correctly have a little step down towards the end then sort of flare back up. Anyway heres more pics.

Shouldn't your GS have come with factory yellow fogs since it looks like you've got factory HID's? Or did you change out halogens for OEM HIDs/aftermarket HIDs?

AUGuy: I changed halogens to OEM but ditching these and going for a projector setup.

If you're going to get rid of your OEM HID's, are you planning on selling them? If so, I might be interested in buying them from you...

My brother(lucky bum) has an 03GS300 I'm actually going to install this system on his car as a christmas present. However, I'll have another xenon projector retro available next week with E39(X5) projectors and phillips bulbs for sale. The housing is painted a metallic silver color and the cutoff is a deep blue to violet color. If you or anyone else for that matter is interested give me your email addy and I'll send a few pics of the process.

Can the yellow capsule be seen when the light is turned off? Any daytime pics with the light off?
