I was wondering if I modify my GS foglight bulbs to 9005 (high beem bulbs), would it be too hot and damage the foglight? I heard the yellow foglights are painted glass inside? Would changing to 9005 bulbs fry the yellow painted glass? Thanks.

you should be fine. the 9006 is 50w i believe and the 9005 is like 55w? that's nothing. you can even put 60w and it should be ok.

btw, to make 9005 bulb to fit in the 9006 housing it's actually pretty easy. i read somewhere that you just need to trim part of the ***** and you are good to go
