Change GS Fog Lights from White to Yellow
My 2004 GS has white fog (driving) lights and I would like to change these to yellow. I've been told by Lexus that the entire light assembly must be changed. Previous years of the GS were yellow fogs. Is it possible to replace the bulb with yellow? Thanks.

You can put yellow bulbs in, but I've never seen any that look *exactly* like the OEM yellow.
One easier way may be to check our classified forums to see if anyone is selling a set or wants to trade for clear ones. Ebay often has sets for sale as well.
Oh, welcome to ClubLexus!

Thanks for the quick reply.
When you say it doesn't look exactly like OEM I guess you mean that because the lens isn't yellow (it is clear) it doesn't throw a nice yellow beam. Having seen this, does it look acceptable to just change the bulbs or is it not worth the effort? I could look into changing the entire lens but wanted to explore the option of simply changing the bulbs as this is considerably easier and cheaper.
BTW the forum is incredible. It's great to see everyone so enthusiastic about their cars and with the daily events surrounding the 3rd generation GS, it is a very exciting time.

and if you buy used ones, make sure you find out from what year and get good pics of the face... they're all the same but since you have a nice new 04, you don't necessarily want fogs from a 150K mile 98 gs with road rash.
Personally, I'd spring for the new ones and get a nice bright bulb (Piaa or Silverstart) to put in there.
