Default Disappointed with PIAA XtremeWhite for HID Match

OK, so I thought I did my homework, I ordered a pair of 9005 PIAA XtremeWhite that are supposed to be 4000K color temp. Since the stock HIDs are 4000-4300 or so, I thought it would be a pretty good match when I turned on the hi-beam, around the same color temp. The PIAAs are slightly bluer than the stock 9005 Sylvanias, but not close enough to the HID color. I thought I'd get the hi-beam color to match and take whatever I get for the DRL @ half-power, which I thought would be a bit bluer than the stock. It wound up being in-between everything, so it looks better, but still no match. Maybe the PIAA isn't the advertised 4000K color?
Maybe the PIAA Plasma Spark Blue ones are a better match for full hi-beam?

I had the same thing happen, I have a 6000K HID upgrade in my SC and ordered a pair PIAA "6000K HID" look-a-like bulbs for my parking lights to match my headlights and got them in last week, they barley look different from the factory lights at night and during the day when they are off they it looks all ricey and there is a blue tint throughout my housing b/c of them.

Guyz...

Yah....its pretty misleading cuz the temp on the packaging is NEVER the temp you get.

I posted up this thread just recently...its now a Sticky....

Man, that's scary how far off some of them are - this may actually be a more serious crime than what Martha Stewart did. How the hey are you supposed to know what to buy? I just spent about $60 for the 9005 PIAA XtremeWhite and they're not even close to what I expected.

My leds match my 6000k HIDS perfectly. You might want to think about getting LEDS. As for the DRLs matching HIDs, I think we all may be stuck there.......since it runs half power, I think they will always look a little yellow.
