I am so going LED superwhite on this console.

I followed edfrsd's write up and tried #74 bulb. That was an easy DIY but still my light is not working. I have checked for any loose connections but no visible problems detected. Am I missing something? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for the follow up. I tried few different things but still no light. I'm also considering LED replacement if I would be able to make the #74 bulb that I have works. Looking forward to your LED upgrade write up

This may sound really obvious, but did you turn on your parking light? The shifter bulb will only turn on when you turn on your parking lights....

Yes, I've done that. So now I'm driving at night without the shifter light. I know some CL owners prefer without the light and just use the shift indicator on the speedometer. But my preference is to have a lighted PRNDL bezel. I will probably look at it one more time this weekend since the weather out here is starting to creep up. Thanks for asking.

Default Finally it's working!!!

I tried rotating the bulb's orientation by 180 degrees just in case the bulb requires polarity orientation. Coupled with pushing the bulb harder, the thing worked. Not sure which one solved the problem. The only setback was I ruined the green plastic "hat" of the bulb. Looks like I'm ready to move on to LED.

if it's the bulb, i don't think they have direction. if it's led, then direction definitely matters
