The 74 LEDs work pretty well, even with the narrow beam pattern. They don't fit easily into the 74 sockets in the car though, there's little nibs that need to be shaved off in the socket. www.superbrightleds.com

Been a while since I did these. If you look at the base of a 74 LED vs the bulb you took out, you should find either ribs on the side of the plastic, or nibs on the bottom. You need to take an x-acto knife and cut these off. Just make the LED base look more like the bulb base, and you will be able to get it in. You may even need to put a drop of glue on it, but not recommended if you don't need it.
