Philips and Hella would be the top two. I don't think Sylvania makes an aftermarket retrofit kit.

Cheap Ebay kits = Don't waste your money because you get what you pay for.

Go with the German made either Hella or Phillips.

thanks guys for the advice. always appreciated. i just purchased a phillips HID system. however im not totally satisfied with the beam pattern. The cutoff just doesnt look smooth. If i were to put a projector in the headlight, would this solve the problem? if anyone wants to do this mod for me, i will gladly pay him.

That's because your headlight housing wasn't designed for HIDs.

As for the projector retrofit, send a PM to tiguy99...I think he can do it for you.

Philips nor Hella makes a HID conversion kit. Philips has a world wide reputation of only making and supplying OEM products . Capsules and ballasts might be made by Philips or Hella. But Philips / Hella will only be a 3rd party supplier of parts to that person or company that puts the kit together. There are more parts and ingenuety that goes into a high quality onversion kit, for example, an automatic headlamp levelling component, which most of these kits lack.

That's because a HID capsule requires a no glare shield on the bulb. A must for reflector based headlamps. Also on reflector headlights with a HID capsule, the return wire should be facing up or down depending on which provides the best results.
