Default Tryk's new LED work(climate and radio)

Well I finally tackled the climate control and radio to make them match my dash lighting. I am very happy with the results. The only possible problem is that the buttons on the climate control might be a little too bright. haha.
In the pictures the climate and radio displays might look alot different in color, but the same led's were used and in person they look like almost a perfect match... just the climate is a tad brighter so it shows up lighter in the pics. The radio was very tricky to do all the white led's, as there is not enough room for the led's and resistors in the stock bulb locations...but I figured out a couple little tricks
So all together I now have 16 led's in the climate control, and 22 in the radio. I will be adding a few more in the radio at the very bottom when I have time.

I would like to say a big thanks to THE man, Brian. If he didn't lead the way with SC lighting I would have never attempted most of the led projects in my car.

ok here is a before picture...of my blotchy red climate display

And here is the new and improved climate control unit!

The new and improved stereo unit!

Here are a couple pictures of both together...

Default New Improved Climate and Radio

Your climate and radio displays look fantastic.

What did you use on you climate and radio to get the light so even? LED's ? if so what type?
Cold Cathodes? If so what length ?

Looks fabolous. Any way of getting a write up?? ehehehheh, cause i tried to use LED's before too. But it was very dim and it would not light up anything. What kind of LED's did you use? Thanks

Everything is LED's. I buy all my led's on ebay. I buy all my resistors at a local electronics shop.

Looks good bro Can you post a pic without so much contrast blown out? Those halo's around everything mean the pic makes it look WAY too bright. I made that mistake when i first started building units.

I was trying to get a look at it by reducing the contrast, but the halo is in the picture itself. I'm trying to see the work

Here's an example of what i am talking about. Without so much contrast it is much easier to see the units light source. Makes for a cleaner pic .
