Default L.E.D. gauge lights (not to steal anyones thread)

I am new here and i believe the guage lights are 194 bulbs correct me if i am wrong. seems people want different colors for there guages. In most accounts L.E.D.s wouldnt work for this since they direct light straight ahead. So they wouldnt light up surrounding areas only have bright spots. But if you use a L.E.D. wedge it will in fact light up surrounding to give an even color to gauges. they come in red, blue, green, white, amber, UV(blacklight) and purple. Here is a link hope this helps anyone looking for somthing like this

scroll down they are in the middle of the page Scott

Not true, no plug and play bulb works without spotting. Wedge bulbs create "rings" around the cluster which actually cause worse spotting than just stick ing an led in there in some cases. There is no led that has the radiation pattern of a bulb, which is why it cannot work. Even diffused led's are directional.

Another reason why this theory will fail is because the wedge bulbs sit all the way to the face.

Totally different cluster. Z28 uses *EL lighting similar to BMW. series of plexi lines inside tracking around in the unit.
