Default Best/Cheapest Place to Buy D2R Philips Bulbs

I have found these 2 sites for Philips:

http://www.xenonfactory.com/products/hid/bulb.htm

http://www.xenondepot.com/category.php?category_id=9

Are there any others that may be a little cheaper? I'm not looking for the cheapo generics b/c this is for my wife's IS300. When I bought it, the owner had the 12000K bulbs in it and they are just plain dangerous for driving at night on backroads.

You can find much cheaper priced D2R bulbs than those from xenonfactory. Once in a while, Ebay carries a few sets of D2R Phillips bulbs, usually factory from a Lexus IS 300 or GS 400, and their prices range from $75 to $150 per bulb set.

150 for a set of D2Rs? Try half that. If not, contact my supplier for a way better price. Let him know I sent you.

i suspect that you have an aftermarket HID kit. I am not aware of any 12000K D2R bulbs. You need to doublecheck the brand of your HID kit or be prepared to do cut and rewire your new bulbs.

this forum is just the bomb.

I especial like the DYI instructions for the changing of the bulbs.

It amazed me that there are so few online places that cary the d2r Philips because it seems to be OEM in almost everything.

I just order a pair of EBay myself after my passenger side died today.

Not bad I guess I really don't do that much night time driving except the weekends?
Car has 45K miles on the ODO and is 01/2000 built so I guess six years is not bad for the bulb life.

I decided to go with the 4300 again.

The original that I pulled today you can tell right away it was bad because the center was very charcoal like.

I got really scared today because at first it would come on for like 10 seconds and then turn off.
I was afraid the ballast was bad. Fewww So i came home and swapped sides and the ballast is fine.

Plus now i know exactly what to do when my new pair come in.

One thing i did see.
The OEM was a philips d2r 85125
I guess it has been retired by the 85126
and now there is a 85126+ that supposedly by the seller.
Gets to temperture faster and is more blueish.

Didn't try it. Ordered the 85126.
