HID burnt out. Why upgrade to 6000K??

Default HID burnt out. Why upgrade to 6000K??

Hi all,

One of my HID burnt out on my 1998 GS400. As I understand it, the stock D2R light is 4200K. Is there any reason to go with 6000K, other than looks? I hear the 6000K glares more than the 4200K. Any advice or thoughts? Thanks so much...~R

6000k looks way better you right away see the difference
Im actually thinking going higher maybe 6500k 7000k hmmmm I want the road in front of me to be white at night

well 6000k is bluer than stock 4300k, and to me it's "whiter" compared to 4300k and not blue yet. i wouldn't go anything higher than 6000k, coz' it's definitely not by osram or philips, meaning those are just korean or taiwanese bad quality stuff, a bit no-no to me.

i have 6000k on my gs400 and sc430, love the look. in theory it has less light output but in reality i dont' see much of a difference. and i don't think 6000k is enough to cause any significant glare. higher like 7500k will cause quite some glare
