I'm considering putting an aftermarket HID kit into my 2000 ES300 that currently has the factory halogen lamps. I've read on some aftermarket kits that the HID bulb has the capsule in the same spot as the factory H7 bulb so there should be no alteration of the beam pattern. Couple of quesitons for anyone....
Has anyone put an aftermarket kit into a 97-01 ES300..?
If so what kit did you go with and can you provide some feedaback on how the beam pattern looks.......any glare ?
Thanks all

For the money that you will probably spend on a kit you might want to consider a projector retrofit instead you get better optics sharper cutoff and you will blow away any hid kit on the road.hid kits are a nice drop-in solution but you will have issues with glare, hot spots, and uneven distribution of light because hid bulbs (hid rebased or d2r ,d2s ) were never design for halogen optics.

I would agree that the performance with a projector retrofit would be better than that of an aftermarket kit. I don't have the motivation/time/skill to cut open my headlights and install projectors in there........now that I'm thinking about it, it couldn't be less interested in doing something like that. This is why I was trying to get some feedback on people aftermarket kits on a 2000-2001 ES300.
Anyone ?
