9006 harness connecter

9006 harness connecter
The connector on the end of my wiring harness (the part that plugs into the bulb) is burned. The two prongs inside the connector area has been like burned to a crisp and now one of my headlights doesn't work because it cannot pickup the connection. Is there a part number for the 9006 wiring harness or even just for that connector? I need to get this fixed because my driver's side headlight won't work at all, and the passenger side is flaky, again because of the burned connector tabs. Any help is appreciated...

Make sure you double check with them to see what they call it. Techincally it's suppose to be a male socket which is described in the description. But on their picture, it's labeled differenty.

THey give you the plug and the pins. All you gotta do is crimp the pins to the stock wires (extend it if you have to) and push the pins into the plug. But be sure to note which side is for pos and which side is for neg before you cut the oem plugs off.

Both of mine burned out and they are not hard to change. You can actually go to Autozone and the connectors and they come with more than enough wire. I paid $5 for each side and they work just as good as they did with the stock connectors!!

How did you connect the wires from your new connector to the wires on your harness and properly weatherproof them? Did you just connect and wrap in electrical tape?

I didnt use tape i used some kind of connectors and they worked great. As for the wires i just matched them up. The connector only plugs in one way so match the wires up bassed on the way the plug goes in!!

Yep, I matched the wires and electrical taped the hell out of it, then created a TIGHT sleeve with the electrical tape and wrapped the connection in it. I think it should be weatherproof enough. Lights work great, thanks everyone!!

Yeah I had it on both sides as well. The lights were VERY flaky, often times I would open the hood, fiddle around with a connector until the light came on and stayed, and when I closed the hood, no more light. LOL thats how bad it was. This happened to me because I was running 55+ watt bulbs in those sockets, so the connectors couldn't handle the excess heat. Should be golden now

I had the exact same issue Niraj. Driver's side. When I finally bought a new harness and bulbs I found that the culprit was a wrong wattage bulb! Previous owner put a 65w instead of 55w. I still consider myself lucky I didn't have a car fire. Especially after seeing how melted/burnt the original harness was!
