HID help.
After I started my car this morning I noticed a red glow coming from the drivers side. Upon further inspection it appears my factory HID bulb has had it's day. By the time I got to work my headlight had ceased omitting light all together. Hopefully this is just the bulb. Can someone help me locate a part # and if so how much this is going to cost. Also if anyone has any DIY instruction for an 00-01 HID bulb replacement that would be very much appreciated.
P.S. Would my bulb be D2S or D2R and what is the difference between those and a 9006?

D2R is for a relector housing
D2S is for a projector housing
Sylvania makes bulbs under the osram name
Phillips makes bulbs also supposed to be better quality I can't tell.
Pull the bulb out and you'll see the number on there. Look for it on auction sites.
You can get a pair of bulbs for like 90 bucks brand new. Stay with oem quality bulbs.
4100K is the color temperature of the stock bulbs
6000K is a ultinon bulb and has a blue insulator. It gives off a more blue color. There about 100 bucks each.
