I'm not sure what you're asking you took apart your headlights to put the ballasts in there?

why would you put your ballast in your headlight? There's no room!!

Install it in your car, plug the bulb in, connect the ballast, and just move it to a flat surface and velcro it to that area. Done!

Sorry...let me rephrase that, I removed my headlights.

I DO NOT want to put the ballast In the headlights. I'm just trying to find a place behind the headlights to mount the ballast.

Where did everyone else mount them?

i don't have an SC but I have hid headlights and fogs - i used zip ties to secure the ballasts to something else that was stable. no tape to clean up if i ever remove them.

OK, I understand exactly your problem. I have a SC and I had to mount my ballasts behind the bumper. There is a thick piece of plastic that you can mount them to.

if you got the xenondepot kit, they included brackets for you to mount it to a flat surface. me i mounted it on the flat portion near the headlight (battery relocated to trunk and open air filter so i can put them there). if i didn't have the batter relocated or open air filter, i would have probably put them on the side of them on the inner fender. here's a pic of the bracket xenondepot includes with their ballasts, also note that the slim ballasts help a lot too.

the brackets here are near the relay shown in the pic.

if you have the big ballast, i suggest maybe just doubleside tape to the passenger side of the airbox and driver side of the battery, be a tight fit but i think those are best spots.

kind of a noob question here, but the SC's come stock with projector's right so there is no need to retrofit one's if you dont need to because a friend of mine with an LS insists that I would have to in order to go to HID headlights

i don't think there is a point to retro - just pop an HID kit in there and the lens will take care of the beam pattern.

hey guys, i suggest you do a search on retrofits on this forum
for people who have retrofits. im one of them

basically cheap way to get HID, just throw them on,
the correct way: do a retrofit.
why? because you could blind people with oem halogen and hid bulbs, they do not channel the light correctly.
also, check out hidplanet.com
i know that the few oem halogen projectors that are decent for HID bulbs are the ones that come on the MDX by Acura

I kinda of agree, yet kind of disagree.

Many projectors, even though equipt with Haligens from the factory, will product a great cutoff.

The projectors in my Jaguar are the SAME projectors they use in the Xenon equipment car (Valeo). I did the conversion my cutoff is identical to the Xenon equipt car.

My SC has the 97+ headlights and the cutoff is VERY clear and sharp.
