Retrofit:(D2R/S) Denso/Koito Vs. Hella & other Ballasts
Hey, doing a retrofit, does it make a difference if i go with Hella D2R/S ballasts or Denso/Koito (OEM) or any other reputable brands....

Of course it is more reliable to go with a "name brand", but it is not necessary. As long as the ignitor/ballast provide the charge needed for the lightbulb, that is all that is needed in my opinion. Just make sure to wire them up properly. This is most important.
