I am the one that posted the pics of my hood blinkers. they are a pain in the *** to install, i dont know what year you have, but for my ES shown bellow i had to actualy take off my hood and turn it upside down to install the blikers, because although stock my hood is very light, made of aluminum and to gain strength with such i light metal it was made as a duale sheet reinforced hood, so it makes it hard to install since the whole in the second layer is so small, but wireding was cake.

One of my friends said that he got pulled over on the highway because of that. Do you know if that's illegal in some cities?
I know that neon license plates are illegal here in Chicago

it is not against the law, it is simalar to the blinkers on the side mirrors on the benzes and stuff, but you can get pulled over the color. I got pulled over for it, but the cop was stupid enough to write "blue" hood blinkers, and i had hyper whites. They might have a blueish tint, but i just told the judge i changed them out to white ones, and he expected to see "blue" ones so he dismised it for $10.00

Here in Chicago is like to leave in a huge jail. Those lights are illegal too (plasma blue light).
Here are some prohibited items for Chicago:
Front and back License Neon Lights
Plasma Blue Light
Any type of Hood lights
System
Tinted Windows
Smoke license plate covers
Smoke Headlight covers..
man !!!!! anything that makes a car looks nice

Yak !!!!!

I asked the cop that pulled me over, and i said is the location of the lights the problem, and he said no the color is and thats Bull ****** because the judge saw them as white, becasue the look more white then blue, if the cop would have put down blueish tinted hood lights the judge might have made me disconect them, but the cop put down "blue" hood blinkers, thats a strech. So if plasma blue is more blue then hyper white you in for some trouble, i suggest if you want to oviod being pulled over have a on/off switch undet the dash to turn the off in high traffic city areas, turn them on when you go into mall parking lots and shoping cetern where there are lots of chick kicking it out side the malls and stuff, or on the freeways/ highways, the cops arent going to make you pull over a 5 lane freeway just because you have on some little hood blinkers, you have to be smart about when cops are most likely to pull you over.

FYI, I believe it is illegal in any state to have a "red or blue light facing foward, on your vehicle, while moving." Unless your vehicle is deemed an emergancy vehicle, like a squad car, ambulance, tow truck, volunteer firefighter, etc... . If you're parked in parking lot, like an auto show, that's a different story. It also depends on the cop's attitude, if you do get nabbed for it--.

Yesterday while my car was getting washed, I saw this light that goes in the tire. When you are rolling your rims light up... who knows if that's illegal. Does anyone know the name of those lights?

Hey L_Sport, did I ever tell you your car is like my dream right now? I want my new ES300 to look somewhat like yours (front end and rims)! Ever since I first came here, I hit up the gallery and fell in love with your ride! Dude you have a nice car! Nevertheless, I live like 1000 miles away so no worrying about the two cars ever crossing paths! (LOL) Although it is a small world! Just curious though, do you have plasma blue head lamps or soemthing? Have you seen my Xenon HID forum yet? Check it out!
