I'm new to this lexus lighting category and I need some help. I have stock halogen bulbs and i want to get a Hid conversion kit. Im trying to decide between 8000k and 6000k. I have a white IS 350 and i want to know which tempature will look better and if anyone has any pictures that would be great. Please explain to me the difference of the two tones as well. Also what company do you reccoment I got with and what bulb size i would need. "I think H11 and im going wit McCulloch so far. What im looking for is a white with a torqouise blue tint to it. Thank You Very Much all Help Is Greatly Appreciated.

8000 does not give off enough light IMO the most i would go is 6000

yeah thats true while its raining, but thats what fog lights are for.

go for the 8k if you want the light blue look. i love mine.

you wont be able to see the true color of 8000k from camera shots, cuz different cameras show different shades of color, but this is probably one of the most accurate ive seen thats 8000k at night time.

If you're not going to get the fogs with it, I recommend 6000k. I run 8000k top and bottom and if turn off my fog, there's not a lot of light. I will get pictures for you tonight.

slight tint of blue. the higher the number the less light
output.



I also added 4500k fogs and hi-beams. The fogs were time consuming to install. Had to go under the wheel well. Saw a post here on doing that. The 4500k bulbs are less yellow than the stock bulbs.

Here ya go, these are my 8000k fogs and low beams. I tried to match the color as close as possible but its better if you look at it in person. I put my camera on Auto mode which made the camera adjust, this is why some pictures have different shades of blue.
I should have put it on manual mode and kept the Shutter speed and Aperture the same on every shot.

Where in California do you live anyways?


I shot this raw and adjust the temperature accordingly, I tried to match them as close as possible.

I do not regret purchasing 8000k. I like the color of it, with the fogs on, it is really bright.

Thanks, if I had my friend I coulda used my tripod and shot perfect moving pictures. All i had was one hand on the wheel, one on the camera and tried to stick the camera on the car. hehe.

i like the regular 4300k the best, 6000k is the highest i'd go.

Did you adjust your projector's level? Because from the pics it looks like your projector shoots farther than mine and I have 6000k HID low beams. I also realized my projector is aimed a little too low for my liking

personally, the most I'd ever go is 6K, isn't the high lite output the whole point of xenon? if not, just get the blue bulbs!
