Sorry for bringing a topic from its grave but I was wondering whether or not this mod would work on a 97' ES300 with H7 lowbeams?

EDIT. Just found out that 9006 and H7 aren't compatible

Only 9006 and 9005 seeing that the base of the bulb has to be modified slightly to fit in the housing. The connector on the hir is completely different from the H7.

Yea, I was really hoping to replace my OEM lights with HIR lights. Guess I am stuck with the Silverstar Ultra bulbs or converting to HID.

just upgrade to HID - it's cheaper than ever.

I haven't really done any research regarding HID lights but I guess its worth to a take a look into it.
