Default LS430 HID question

I have the 02 LS430 and the car comes with HID, after reading bunch of post, it seems like I should just stick with stock HID (4300K) but my question is... is there any other thing I can do to make it better? maybe using a different brand? TIA

ps. anyone know what's the spec for the LS430 DRL light?

4300k are the brightest bulbs for HID, the only thing you can really do is get brand new D2R bulbs, depending on how used your current HID's are now, it could make a big difference as to the output. As when HID bulbs age, they become more "blue" and less white (some people like this) but they also decrease in output with age and hours.

You could probably try getting boosted ballasts and bulbs.

Retrofit some 04-05 ls430 projectors in there and swap out the lense for a clear tsx lense that would be sweet

yeah if you are looking for the fastest and most cost friendly i would go with bulbs.

BUT if you have say a good $500 to shell out, you can go with boosted ballasts and DL50 bulbs or if you had a good $1000 you could have LS430 projectors retrofitted into your headlights (TSX lenses would make for a nicer cutoff which equals more color!) so yeah that would be pretty dam sweet. HELL if you are willing to spend 1000 might as well go ***** out and get the whole BOOSTED BALLAST+BOOSTED BULBS+LS430 PROJECTORS+TSX LENS this would probablly cost a good $1500

that my friend would hands down give you much more improvement, you would probably light up 7 lanes to each side, not to mention incredilble light down the road.

all depends what you want and what you want to spend lol

no wonder I thought my sister's TSX's HID light is so much better then mine... what about retrofitting that Q45 maching gun projector? Anyone around Socal knows how to do retro fit the LS430 projector with TSX lenses?

Look in the LS430 forum. Someone just posted pics of the LS with the LS430 projectors. I think it was a retrofit since the headlights' shape looked like the 01-03's.

The TSX lens swaps right into the LS430. I did the swap before. I went back to the LS430 frensel lens simple because I want a more blurry cutoff. Less complaints from other people and my eyes can adapt better (too sharp is not good)
