Got a set of OEM HID's for my ES.....what next???
I apologize if this is a monotonous posting, but I've scoured the forum and can't seem to find a definitive answer. I just picked up a set of the HID's from an '01 ES300, and am questioning what the next step should be. I've got housing, bulbs, and ballasts......ballasts are already wired into the bulbs, so it "appears" that the only thing I need to do is either:
A.) Splice the harness for my stock H7 housing, and connect it to the D2R HID connector.
B.) Purchase a harness that allows me to plug into my H7 on one end, and into the D2R on the other....thus eliminating the need to splice/modify things.
Am I headed down the right path, or have I completely missed something?
Before I got the lights, I was under the impression that I would have to hook my stock wiring harness directly into the ballast first.....but having now seen how the lights are set-up, it looks as though i just run it into the back of my lowbeam connector, which then runs into the ballast to convert the wattage before sending it to the HID bulb itself.
