im kinda of agreement between these post. the spotlight/matchstick light at the end makes it not very aesthetically pleasing for me but i am still reserving my judgment for how it will look with the needle and lights were of the same color.

Not feeling it....maybe if you had the blue light travel behind the display with the needle. Just a thought.

I think if you did it as a shift light where it would only illuminate at and beyond the redline would be nice, but at the same time an automatic 400 wouldn't need it.

i like the idea, but like what others say, maybe try it a little dimmer so it's less distracting
