It was recommended in the RX forum that I ask over here in the GS forum . . .

I want to swap out just the bulbs in my fog lights with HID/Xenon bulbs. I understand I should use the 9006 style bulbs. However, there are various color temperatures of this bulb and I want to match the temp of my regular HID headlamps. So my questions are:

1) What is the color (temperature "K") of Lexus headlamps?

2) How hot do they get? I don't want to melt the plastic lenses or housing.

In My Opinion...do A Real Hid Swap...much Nicer And Ppl Wont Think That You're Going Cheap On A Lexus, Hahaha, Jk

Real Hid's Are Worth It For The Safety And Looks. It's Not A Hard Swap. It Took Me 30 Min To Do Both Sides To My 3gs...check Out My Photo Album For Pics....

Same here, you should go ahead and install REAL HID.

I just installed 9006 3000k (golden yellow) on my foglights.

If you want to match the OEM's HID color, OEM intensity is at 4300k but after about 500 hours, it becomes 4800k. So I would recommend 5000k HID kit or 3000k HID kit.
