I agree with GSteg. Yellow light is easier to see than (off) white light in the rain or fog, etc.

livin in SF and commuting weekly over the GG bridge, fog has become a regular acquaintance to me. i had gone from white fogs to yellow halogen fogs to hid yellow fogs. the yellow halogens provided decent visibility, but only in the immediate area in front of the car. now with the hid yellow fogs, the yellow covers about half the distance of my lowbeam hids. so in normal driving, if i tend to have my fogs on, i can still see quite a distance, but i see more yellow.

haha they help a lot. but i just went from yellow bulbs back to my 6k HID fogs....haha

hahah... yeah!!!...

I have 3k hid on my fogs... but i want more lighting so i might go 4.3k lol
