DONT ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS.
I HAVE NOT DONE THIS AND JUST POSTING UP TO HELP MEMBERS WHO MIGHT BE PURSUING THIS PROJECT.

and with that said, the next person to PM me questions about this will get a picture of my cats poop as a reply.

I found an old DIY write up by ClubAristo. I never got around doing it, but it was pretty informative so I thought I'd translate some of it, and post it here.

you'll need to install Japanese text to open up the pdf files (CAD drawings).
I'm just simply sharing this as resource. Don't ask me for translation, how-tos, or anything like that. And of course, do this mod at your own risk.

With that said, here's a magnificent write up by ClubAristo...


Q45 20mm multi-projector headlight unit


on the front it says "Multi-lens: Made in Germany"
on the back it says "Gatling Beam"
woot, Gatling guns..I mean headlights from Germany.

lens removed from housing
the lens are glass

take apart clear cover and headlight unit.

reflectors painted with BNR32 OEM paint "gun metallic KH2" but with chrome left for turn signals
cleared out turn signals


reflector with HID burner
units held at 3 places
top two are held with a bolt to adjust up/down left/right
the bottom one connects to the auto-leveling connector
be careful not to break the tab


auto leveling motor



chromed housing

C1 is right/left specific

laser cut backplates and stays
backplate has a carbonfiber decal on it


backplate+lens
make sure to put something on so the scews wont come off from vibration


back view


Toyota headlight unit and Nissan multireflector headlight


extended with PCV pipe to allow clearance for HID connectors


pipe covered to protect from water and whatnot







small position light (JDM daylight running lights)

still the pics are pretty informative.. thanks for the pics.. I have someone already doing mine.. This is a great DIY.. Nice find..

is there a place to buy the pieces that hold the projector to the housing? fabing would be quiet a challenge for me right now.

check out the pdf file I linked, and have some cut it out on SUS304....at least thats what Soaristo did.
