Default Xenon Depot 5000k Xtreme HID Kit Install on an SC 300!! 56k No Way!

As the title states the purpose of this thread is to document the install of Xenon Depot's new 5000k Xtreme HID kit in my 1995 Lexus SC 300. For starters, I recently added two new headlight housings that have the updated projector lens, a discovery that was made by IronCobra (He has a thread about it). These new headlight housings, in my opinion, helped focus the intense light that comes from this kit. As far as my experience with Xenon Depot, I was impressed with the communication (my e-mails were always answered within a few hours), but more importantly I was extremely impressed with this kit! Steve is a great guy to work with and will definitely take care of you if you are interested in adding some HID's to your car. I highly recommend XenonDepot.com is you are looking for HID's. Their prices are great, but the quality of the kit and the comfort of having a genuine warranty is outstanding! Sorry for all the words...on to the pictures!

Before Pics with Sylvania Silverstars

The kit is HERE!!! (by the way, Steve, two SC's would've looked much nicer on the front of the box!!!)

The Good Stuff!!

I had seen where someone else mounted their ballasts on the black plastic behind the bumper and in front of the radiator and liked the clean look, so I decided to do the same.

and the pictures continue!!!

After Pics with 5000k Xtreme HID's

And Now...The Controversial Beam Pattern...I didn't think it was too bad, but I am biased of course.

There is actually a pretty sharp cut off line as you can see on the tree's and I haven't seen the so called "squirrel spotters", you SC owners should know what I'm talking about.

And Lastly the front of the car with the flash on...

Sorry I went a little pic happy. Hope this helps you decide on what temp to get if you are in the market for HID's. The light that comes from these is a very pure white with a very slight hint of blue. I am very happy with the kit, and again shop XenonDepot.com for all your HID needs!!! Thanks again Steve!

That's really white. I have 6000K which isnt that bright and white. Im still not a big fan of SC projectors, Im ready to do my Audi TT projector retrofit.

Hey BizNaz the installation was a breeze. It's completely plug and play.

The 6000k are a higher color temperature making them more blue than mine. You also have less lumens the higher you go which is why mine appears brighter and whiter than yours does. The whole point of XenonDepot releasing the 5000k kit was to give people the opportunity to go higher than 4300k which still has a hint of yellow, but not so high as 6000k which appears blue and obviously not OEM. 5000k is the middle line here and I love the compromise. The SC projectors in the new headlights are actually much better than the one's that were manufactured and put on these cars before, I believe, 2001.
