Default New SC Headlights + Modding them Opinions...

Okay so these new racer/ricer headlights came out for the SC.

In the stock form of these, i do not like them. What really appeals to me is the lense.

But I looked at it harder and I was wondering about some mods to them.

Replace crappy Projector with something better (OEM + HID etc)

Dump the angel eyes

The middle bulb where the running light would be, Add in a Bosch Mini H3 Projector + 3000k Yellow Fog HID

Use A super duper amber bulb or series of LEDs for turn signal (far bulb)

Replace the 3 LEDs with 10mm Ultra Bright White LEDs and use this for running lights

Possible paint the whole inside satin black is the "chrome" finish is crappy.

I know its a lot of work, but do you think it would turn out well?

Try it, but I dont think it'll look too good. There's just too much going on there.

for the amount of $ and effort that you would spend making these look 1/2 way decent, you could mod a stock set of headlights to look badass. Then all that's left is to patent the idea, manufacture/distribute or sell the idea to the highest bidder and rake in the dough. everything beyond the 1st sentence is just pure speculation, but we are desperately lacking for tasteful, affordable, aftermarket h/l & t/l mods for our vehicles.

"racer" "ricer" how would you define it? i think a better term would be better to used.

Those headlights look pretty good, somewhat like the Supra headlights. You just need to change the DRL/highbeam bulb and take out the orange bulb.

They are okay, but imo, there is too much going on in the lens. Maybe if the housing was black?

so, actually - I sold this set to another CLer already, and ordered the black ones I'll post more pictures when that set comes.

they work just fine - at least, my HID kit does. However, the halo (aka the cool factor) is useless during the day. It's way too faint.
