Default Can aftermarket bulbs be used with factory ignitor?

I have a d2s kit off a gs430 with rebased 9006 4100k bulbs. One of the bases came off and wont stay in the socket. Plus the whole set up was a pain to keep locked in the hid socket and in the headlight socket. THey turned opposite ways, meaning had to turn the bulb 1 way to lock in the ignitor socket and then turn the opposite way to lock in the headlight. So they usually came loose or fell out the headlight Now my question is, can i cut off the d2s socket and buy some aftermarket hid bulbs and connect positive and neg wires and be on my way? Only thing is that I see the red (pwr) white (neg) and then 2 little green ones??? Would those be a ground or something? However aftermarket ones have just 2 wires

Why not just buy an after market re-based 9006 D2R bulb? If the set you have is OEM and came of a 2nd gen GS430 is should be D2R anyway. Either way, the ballast can work with D2R/S. There are many 9006 based D2R/S bulbs available. I'd rather used one of those than buy other after market ones with the wires already attached and try to retrofit or splice it into an OEM style ballast.

I have rebased d2s bulbs. They are 4100k.... I want 6000k. Also the 9006 base always come loose and its not a tight fittment in the headlight as a regular 9006 bulb.

You have to buy better quality HID bulbs. I've been using OEM connector style 9006 rebased HID bulbs in a few of my cars since 2000 without any problem. Swapped them in and out of a few different cars over the years as well.
