You bought Cody's Q45 set? Not the brightest at HIN....stocks are brighter.

Really? Those output pics don't look bad, I thought they looked better than my stock reflectors.

I've got a set of these projectors sitting around, I'm still debating on whether to do the retro but I'm leaning towards it a little more since I'm gonna have to replace my bumper now anyway and the hassle of removing the lights was a good part of what's holding me back.

We were side-by-side at HIN....HID were turned ON....and others told me the same....mines were much more noticeable than the Q45 mod.

Whatever...to each their own...its all for show.

It's all for show. If you're worried about taking off the headlights, you're going to hate retrofitting projectors.

Its fairly easy to remove the headlights. The only "difficult" part is taking the front bumper off.

Difficult part is opening up the headlights

Difficult part is finding a way to mount the projectors inside the housing, making sure the cutoffs are level, while making it work with the stock adjustment screws. If you use a big projector like Q45 or LS430, you have to trim the housing to make it fit too.

I've done a retrofit before, I'm pretty comfortable with the work involved; the added hassle of removing the bumper was one reason I hadn't done it yet. I'd picked up the projectors before I ended up with a GS w/ factory HID.

I'm not impressed with the factory HID's, I remember my old retrofit with X5 projectors (about 5 years ago) having much better lighting. I'd figured the Q45's would at least have a slightly improved beam pattern and distribution over the reflectors.

Does anyone know how the output of LS460's compare to the Q45's? That's the other projector I like the looks of in the GS headlight. Everyone will probably tear into me for this one but I think the LS430's look out of place in the huge GS headlight. No argument on the output, it's amazing, but I don't care for the looks of it.
