Default Do HID's in stock housing scatter light?

I am interested in installing HID's in my 97 sc300 but was wondering how the light output is in the stock housing. Alot of people throw HID kits in all kinds of stock cars and end up blinding everyone that they drive infront/behind of and I dont want to be one of those people. Can anyone comment on this in the sc300s and is a retro fit with real projectors required to not blind people?

I put a 6k kit in my 95. Light output is amazing compared to stock. It doesn't really blind anybody though, but it could probably be even better with retrofitting HID projectors in. (S2000, TSX, 350z)

Of course REAL retros are needed for best of everything you'd expect from an HID system in non-HID housings.
