Default H11 HID kit, where to buy?

Hey all,

I have a 2006 IS250...i guess my name gave that one away. Its got the stock halogen bulbs, so they are not HIDs. I want to get an HID kit, I've set my mind on 6000K, philips bulbs (best bulbs correct?). So i looked into xenon depot, they have that xtreme HID kit, does that use philips bulbs? cause their xenondepot kits did not have an H11 bulb...

I want the best quality, Looked at ebay, they had some shady looking kits, but cheap. i am willing to shell out the 200-300 dollars if they are quality kits. Any suggestions for where i should make my purchase?

and about the colour, i read a lot of the topics, I want the closest thing to stock, but just a BIT more blueish. So i decided the next high up from 4300, so 6000 (or the 6500 xtermeHID kit from xenon depot).

suggestions?
thanks!
oh and I live in canada, So the place has to be able to ship to the north

xenondepot h11 kits need to be modified in order to fit. i witness them first hand when I was out in socal for a meet. the plug fits but it doesn't fit ideally. also, their xtreme HID kit comes with 2 separate wire harnesses (one for each ballast), go with their philips kit and it should only have one harness with the ballasts configured in a daisy chain fashion. hopefully.

6k should fit what you want and yes, xenon depot is also based in canada so shipping shouldn't be a problem.

Thats just it, I cant seem to find the philips kit for an H11. Its only their xtremeHID kit.

I'm not really pleased about hearing to modify it, I want something that fits perfectly. any other options?

The only problem this the plug that plugs into the orginal light bulb plug. The plastic plug on the HID kit must be ground down about 3/16 of a inch so the prongs will reach to make contact. I did a IS a few months back.

Also go with the xtremeHID kit 5K kit they are great.

If you are in SoCal ,let me know if you need help.

I think I am the guy cliffud is talking about that did it at a meet.

lexkost - yes! that was me.

i was just surprised at how the xtremeHID kit had dual harnesses and thought it was redundant since you would then need to modify 2 harnesses vs just 1.

i personally use a pair of good quality garden shears whenever I modify the h11 plugs. kinda crazy but it works.

btw - lexkost - loving that ride man.
