5000K xenondepot kit INSTALLED!
Hey guys,
just got my 5000K xtreme xenon depot kit installed, and looks fantastic. for a second though, i got a check SCV warning light...i drove for like 10 mins and it went away. I'll post pictures sometime soon.
umm, but one thing, when the car starts and the lights are on, sometimes one of the bulbs flicker...is that a bad thing? and also, it seems like it warms up at first..its not bright, takes like 3 seconds to get to the brightest. Any sign of bad installation or is that just how it is?
thanks guys, pic incoming

Im not sure about the flicker, but the dimness at startup is normal. I see it all the time with cars in the parking lot that have been sitting for a while. Its just the bulbs warming up. Usually the color is off as well until its fully warmed up.

it was 0 degrees today, so kinda cold, i'll take some pics with a camera later.

The flash you might be seeing is actually the startup power of the ballast getting power, and the bulbs being charged.
In that moment the arc is at its widest, and that is why it appears dim.
As the arc stabilizes, or warms up, the color will shift through at least 4 different shades, till coming to rest at the color temp of your bulbs.
After you have the lights on for at least 30 seconds, they shouldn't flicker.
If just one of your bulbs is flickering, contact XD for a refund on their low end PNP kit.

oh its not flickering like constantly...when i turn on the car, either one, or maybe both, just flicker like once or twice..then it warms up and stops. the flicker is just at the very beginning...is that ok? its not a constant flicker, its like one flash or two.

But i havent seen it flicker the last couple of times. its not like a flicker...its as if lets say it does one click before it turns on. i dunno...looks like its fine. I havent even had a chance to test it out a lot, i'll see how it is.

If you have your lights on automatic from time to time that will happen do to the voltage drop when starting the car. Turn off the automatic and start car and then turn on lights they should turn on fine, if not you have a problem. I am running the 5000K xtreme xenon on my car also but an H1... You can't compare yours to a stock HID's because a stock sends out 12volts on automatic setting and a non HID car on auto only sends out about 7volts.

Yea, that makes some sense.
actually now that i think of it, it kinda starts like how my stock halogens started when i had it on auto. Cause as the car is turning on, it would flicker (lack of a better word) as the car was turning on. i dont know how to explain it. I'm going to try and turn the car on first and then turn on the lights and see how it goes.
