Default DIY sidemarkers

Hey guys! I have a gs400, and I'm looking for a DIY on how to replace the sidemarkers. I already have a pair of clear side markers, and I would like to know what tools I need, and how to replace them. thanks in advance =]

Would I be able to gain access to them through the mud flaps?

You can remove the plastic guard to get to them, but it is MUCH easier to remove the fog lights and go in through there.

It would definitely be harder that way, plus I think the washer fluid reservoir might make it difficult on the driver side, not sure.

You'll probably find it better to remove the fog lights and work through there. Driver's side is always a pain.

Well, I tried to change the side markers today, and you guys were right! The driver side is a BEACH to reach! I took out the passenger side marker, and there's something WEIRD!! For those that don't know, I bought my car used, and the front bumper had an accident from the first owner. The side marker was ripped off, so the auto body shop replaced the relay. The original relay will NOT fit into my new one. Someone cut the harness, spliced the wiring, used electric tape on the ends, and attached some ugly, non changeable harness. What should I do? Just stick them on there, and hold it together with electric tape? lol

Tried to replace them again today... and now I can't figure out how to remove the bolts holding the marker on the driver side off! Do you guys think I should just go to a body shop, and have them take them off, and I put them back on my self?

You do not need a body shop man!!
Just make sure you are using the right socket..
I think it is 10mm

I never looked @ the DIY guide..not sure if it's easier going through the fogs..

I went in by opening my mudflap....

The ghetto wire job I'm not sure ahts wrong..gonna have to see a pic
but the bolts gotta come off! just make sure you are using the right socket and turning the right way...If anything try doing it with some needle nose pliers

I got to the driver side through the mud flap, but the bolts are like REALLY tight. I tried the needle nose pliers, and they didn't help at all.
