I would recommend 5000k because it's whiter light and you don't sacrifice that many lumens when compared to 4300k. I have 6000k now because they were cheaper than the 5000k I wanted to get. Those higher temps may look rice I mean nice but I would rather be able to see. The color temps are just a way to determine what color the light output will be they won't affect your car in any negative way except for visibility.

So I have been looking at the difference in 6k and 8k and it doesn't seem to be much but a little more blue with the 8k. Does anyone recomend a seller on ebay or buying jap made vs. german made.. Ill post some different sellers from ebay.

After searching the 600+ D2R bulbs on Ebay does someone recomend or have bought from a seller. I just can't judge by their rating since bulbs could be good for 6 months then go out and people already left a rating.

If you're getting a genuine Phillips bulb, then you shouldn't worry too much about reliability. After all, they are the premier bulb manufacture for OEM and aftermarket applications. It's been awhile since I've been in the HID game, but Phillips only makes one application for 6000k-ish application. They're the ultinon-series, and they cost close to $200 for a pair.

Honestly, I dont know any reputable brand for 8000k bulbs. The only two brands to stick to are Phillips and Osram, but Phillips is preferred by most.
Here is a picture of the 4300k vs 6000k setup..
8000k will be quite blue/purple. Dont expect as much output at night though. The dark color will blend in with the dark surrounding, giving your eyes less of a chance to distinguish anything on the road. Think of this analogy..if you were in a dark room, would you rather use a flashlight with white light or a blue/purple light? It may look cool when you stand outside your car, but your eyes can grow very tired of the 8000k look. 6000k is the max I would ever go for balance of color and output.
