This is WHY you should let AAC professionally retrofit your lights.
We get lots of people that call the shop and tell the same story:
"I was going to get you guys to retrofit projectors for my lights but some guy said he can do it for (insert amount here) cheaper. Now he screwed up my lights beyond recognition and I need you to fix what he did"
Usually I have them send the lights in so we can try to salvage as much as possible. In this case there was obviously nothing we could do:
(YES this is a REAL "retrofit" from some other guy)
Attempt to extend the rear caps of a Lexus GS300:
EXACT same setup but installed by AAC with our rear caps:
This retrofit was actually a while back but we get the same story from so many people I hope posting this may save at least one person from making this mistake.

PM me details of what retro you are going for and I can work you out a price. If you are not sure what projectors you would like to use or need help deciding call us (800)407-5776 and ask for Mike or Ed, they are our in-house fabricators and can help you out.
Yes, in this case the ballast is inverted and yes that is by design. Thanks.
