So, I picked up a used 2001 Lexus GS430 this weekend. Great car, but I noticed in the mornings, when I start the car, the auto leveling headlights don't both work. I see the drivers side go down, up, and then level out. But the passengers side headlight shows no movement whatsoever.

So....what would be the first thing to check? I'm completely new to this, so any advise/insight would be appreciated.

you may have to manually adjust them with a screw driver.

it can be a real b*tch, so get some help from someone in your area who has done it before. this is assuming nothing major is broken.

if it has those headlights that turn with the steering wheel, then i cannot help you

Check the fuse and connection to the leveling module, you could have a bad leveling motor.

No, they don't turn with the steering wheel. They just auto level and it's most noticable when I start the car.
