Default 99 gs300 retro tsx projector or xenondepot housing with phillips hid kit?

I have a 1999 gs300, I also have a set of phillips ballasts with phillips bulbs off of a newer infinity g35 coupe. And i have access to some projectors off of a lexus, which one i do not know. My friend works at lexus and snags some projectors to try and play with them when he can, but hasnt figured it out. My housings are showing signs of age, foggy and what not. I had a friend clean them , but they still looked bad after a while. I was wondering if it would be easier, without suffering to much quality, if I used the housing with the halo eyes from xenondepot, along with slicing in my phillips hids? If not, how do I move forward with the projectors? Is there a link that explains with pictures and examples? I hear everyone talking about a retro fit., but I dont want to just pull the lights apart and have at it without having a clue. Isnt it hard to get them focused? How does it work? It just sounds a lot easier to spend the 300 and get the halo eyes, any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated, as I have been reading for hours and my eyes hurt! Thanks
