LED highbeam/DRL
So I got some LED's to replace my highbeam/DRL, its not very bright at all which is fine, but does anyone know if its supposed to have a very fast flicker to it? Both sides do it so I'm guessing yes. Also, probably a dumb question, but since the LED's replace the highbeam function will it cause any damage to the LED's if I accidentally put on the highbeam?

If I'm correct, the DRL uses the high beam bulb for the IS, right?
If so that means it'll only provide what? half the power when it's on DRL mode? that's what causes your flickering as DRL does not provide the power needed to run the LEDs.
If you put it on high beam, it'll be as bright as it's designed to be, the LED bulb is not designed for DRL use then, unless the DRL provide full power to the bulb... like our 2GSs, which have a separate bulb than the high beam, which we can use LED for DRL.
But after reading through the link provided, it also says it's DRL LED... so I guess I would ask them to see what's up...

Hey just wanted to let you know the flickering is normal, like Solo_D33A said your DRL only puts out 6 volts so the LED doesn't have enough input voltage, turn on your headlights, then hit the high beams you will see them light up fully. We have developed a 9005 High Power DRL that will operate at full output on only 6v but will also take up to 16v and not blow out. I am also working on a simple plug n' play harness that will take power directly from the battery to the LED so it will see a full 14.4 volts no matter what.

So based on your comment about developing one that won't blow out, that means I should worry about flashing my hi's on accident? Its not that I go around using my hi-beam for visibility purposes, but habit will have my hand on the lever for 'you're going too slow in the fast lane' , 'your lights aren't on' , and 'whats up' purposes.
