Default --Headlight Retro--

First off i searched.. im retroing my stock headlights with the glass off of ebay ones due to blinding ppl especially with hid, ordered anothr hid kid already and a few other things.. i took both stock ones apart already using oven method and in the process of cleaning and removing old glue.. 1st question is as i was cleaning the chrome part of one that had been condensated i must of pushed to hard and cracked the chrome (there painted from the bottom) i dont really feel like buying another headlight and i dont want to go black, anyone have suggestions of a color to go on a black car or is there any "good" chrom paint out there? 2nd question is if you look through back of housing threw projector there are 2 flaps in there, do people usually to remove them? or would it make the light beam go all over the place? 3rd question is is there a pic of how well the chrome part of headlight will fit in base properly, not sure if it needs to be pushed back real far or does the base housing part snug over the top of chrome, or does it just kinda sit in place till lens gets sealed?

THanks Josh

What exactly did you order from ebay? OEM projectors from another vehicle? What car do you have? Are you just replacing the glass lens in your stock projectors?

I'm pretty sure the "flaps" you're referring to in the stock projector are the cutoffs. If you're talking about a metal piece that covers about half the tube, that's there to control the light output that would otherwise go up in the eyes of other drivers. You don't want to remove those.

Some more info. and maybe some pictures of what you're working with would make it easier for us to help you.

OK, I see; I was confused on what you were doing. Unfortunately, I don't think I can be any help with that. I hope it works out for you.
