Default HID fog lights install Q's on an SC300/400

OK I just got an H3 3000K HID kit in for my fog lights. I am also in the process of doing a 97+ conversion. I am just curious how you guys hooked up the fog lights.

Did you have to take apart the housing to remove that light shield inside?

Is it ok to leave the back cap off, because the HID wires are much bigger?

ok somebody deleted my other thread and it had reply's in it.

anyways to make it less confusing. I have a 95 SC400, and I am doing a 97 conversion. So the fog light harness is the same.

Whats different is the bulbs.

The OEM and Nokya H3 bulbs I had in my 95 were shorter than the HID H3 bulbs.

The OEM and Nokya H3 Bulbs had a short heat wrapped wire on it vs. The HID bulbs have two big wires with snap clips than mates to the wires on the Ballast.

The other wire on the ballast have flat ends, that I guess is supposed to mate to the cap and or stock harness.

Basically it seems like the cap won't fit back on the housing. and the flat ends need to be moddified to fit the cap and harness.

i just replaced the bulbs with the HID ones . Ran both POS+ wire from both transformers straight to battery, then ran the negative to a relay using the parking like POS+ as a signal.
