SC30096 your same bulbs look very white, just wondering if the yellow lasts for long. they are spou to be colorshift resistance thou.

i need pictures later tonight. will post tonight
my bulbs came with my projectors so they already have an X amount of hours on them so I cant really comment. but from my research the 85122+ are pretty white to begin with however the regular 85122 needs time to color shift..

did you get a mounting bracket? I recommend it if you dont. less work and your still given the capability of using OEM headlight adjustment.

O.P, welcome to the club. I've done several SC retrofits over the years and can tell you from experience that the OEM Toyota lenses don't do HID light too much justice.

They were created for Halogen lighting in the 90s and not HID. What you're going to need to do is to buy a set of clear SC aftermarket lenses.

About a year ago, these aftermarket SC headlamps with clear lenses popped up on Ebay for about 250-300 a set. I'm not sure if they're still available but if you can hunt down a set or a seller selling them, perhaps they can sell you the front SC clear plastic lense.

The difference between that headlamp lense and your OEM stock lense is the new one is gem clear like the OEM BMW X5 and Acura TSX headlamp lense. Therefore more clear output shines through which = a better HID experience vs where you are now.

Good luck and feel free to ask any questions!

yea 85122+ were really yellow i didnt like them.. but here are the 6000k for so far... A HUGE increase

no mounting bracket... I used the stock adjustments and bent them into the tsx lights.. it worked well i just had to trim more off the tsx projector but i had a angle grinder so it was no big deal..

old x5

tsx

prettty happy so far.. the driver side has to come down a little more thou.. but so far so good =)

I think you may have gotten dud 85122+ cause my brother also has a tsx retrofit on his acura cl but hes using my knockoff 4300k from ebay and my lighting is far brighter and more intense then his. so I really dont know what to tell you. but if your happy with the 6000k then power to ya. get those pictures up of the completed project!

Put HID's in your High Beams and you will see 10x better. Trust me on this one, best mod ever for lighting.
