Default Wiring independant hid foglights

i have a 92 sc300, the cornering lamps have a 1156 bulb that turns on when the headlights and blinker are on

i wanted to run hid plug and plays and have them on a switch inside the car, so they could be on or off and not just tapped into the headlights

anyone know how i could go about doing this?

If your HID kit has the relay harness, put your switch on the trigger from the oem harness. The other way you could do it, is to have your HID trigger from the marker lights, that would allow you to run parking lights and fogs at the same time, without the headlights being turned on, it would also make the fogs stay on when you hit the high beams, the down side is, they would always be on with the headlights, parking lights, you could not have one without the other.

I actually have mine this way, I have never once had a need to turn OFF my fog lights, in favor of just my low beams....

Here is what I did when I changed to the 97 frontend:

Not hids yet, but has a switch to turn them on and off as you wish. Maybe you can find a better location for the switch.

i was going to get xentec in 3k and i guess any bulb since its an 1156 socket i'd just find a way to mount it in the housing:

so i'd just run the ballast off the battery and splice the harness part that would go to the headlights, but to the sidemarkers/parking lights. any resistors or relays or anything else needed
