I have been researching for a few, I just want to confirm something. I am wanting my DRL at night to match my 6500 HIDS. I've read that some cars run at a lower frequency/wattage (whatever) so changing the bulb to a blue/white colored bulb would still result in a yellowish light output. Is this true for a 99 GS? Could I just change out the 9005 bulb to a Sylvania Silverstar bulb or whatever?
Which bulb is the high beam vs DRL? the 9005 bulb or 194?

When you turn on your lows the DRLs turn off. The 194 is the parking light and which it comes on with your lows. If you want that to match then I would go with LED 194 bulbs. Your high beam is your DRL (9005 bulb). But it's just running half the power. So no matter what you put in there it will still be yellowish unless you put in 9005 LED bulb.

Just keep in mind that if you replace your high beam bulb with an LED bulb, you will have nothing of the normal high beam power at night. When you hit the high beams, it will be nothing but those little puny LED lights and they in no way are a substitute for the high beam bulb. Cant have both, you can have a brighter DRL with an LED, but you will have no high beam at night.
