Nice! First time I saw cathodes in the trunk.
What you use to plug into the trunk? Granted, I put this in my Camry, it was simply plug and play. It works with any car that uses 194/921 bulbs. In the process of making them work in 3022/3175 festoon bulbs. Just need to order parts. I have some laying around if anyone is interested.
I also soldered a fuse holder and added a slow burn fuse. The inverter I have pictured is the cheap one where if you plug it in the wrong way, it will blow out the slow burn fuse as well as the inverter. The ones I have laying around have built-in reverse polarity. So if you plug it in the wrong way and it doesnt work, just flip the plug around. No need to replace fuse or inverter.

I spliced into the factory light wiring. The inverters I used were of the "cheap" variety, i guess, but that's where a simple multimeter come in to play. No need to dummy proof them for me - I'm no dummy.

Those look real nice and bright. I am sure the 12" are much brighter than the 4" i used but I already had them and I the light they produce is more than enough for me.

I really should say I tapped into the wiring - not spliced into it since i cut nothing. I used these oh-so popular T-Taps that just crimp right over the existing wires. Everything else was saved and could be returned to stock at any point. No cutting required. Lots of 3M double stick tape is though.

I have a question for both of you. Did they break from something hitting them, audio system vibrations, or rough ride vibrations(dropped)?

Look great, but the last thing I want to do is make it easier for the Cops to read my license plate. I have done full LED in all dome lights and door lights on both my cars. Great job and nice install!
