hey dembou - I have a set of Garax 6000k d4s bulbs installed for my lows and XD HID 6500k fog kit installed. the pics looks like its blue but its white when u see them in person. You can check the pics out on this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...h-more-25.html

You can see that its kinda blue-ish color to it, but its white, i tried to take the best pic i can get of the garax set, but freaking slr cameras has too many options!

For D4S bulbs, they're $95 at HIDExtra. They're like the lowest price for other types of bulbs and kits. At v-leds.com, you can get D4S bulbs as well as any other type of bulb for $49.

Hey Funnie, thanks for the pics, looking nice. Waiting to receive my garax 6000k

I'm trying to figure out what number and type are the daytime lights ( the ones on, when you relese the parking brake) to swap them for whiter ones.

You do realize that the 6K and 8K reduce output severely, a 6K bulb is barely making 2500lm and an 8K drops to around 2000lm... which is a good halogen at that point... I guess a good looking halogen at least.

I would upgrade to a 55W ballast, and pull the cutoff shield back 0.1 to 0.5mm and you will get a nice purple blue colors whihc will flicker in the other driver's eyes making them much better looking.

A Clear lens upgrade is also an option if you can open your headlights.

The difference isn't that great and your figures are a bit low.
6000K yields approximately 2800 usable lumens
8000K yields approximately 2500 usable lumens
For reference, stock 4300K has 3200 usable lumens.

No where near the 1200-1300 lumen output of a good halogen.
