Need some help with h3 HID fogs install
Hello everyone. I just ordered a set of 8k 9006 for my lowbeams on my 97 sc 300. Also i picked up the 3k h3 hid fogs trying to get both done. The kit is from xenon depot, the extreme one. I finished the low beams fine no problems. relays and harnesses hooked up fine. Im having trouble installing my fogs because the h3 hid fog kit doesnt have a connector to match the factory harness like the 9006's. the kit comes with the same setup but one of the lines has prongs..and i was looking at the hid bulb and it seems like i wont be able to use the oem fog light back cover to seal it up?. so many questions can anyone do a write up on the install?. thanks.!

If this is similar to 2ES fogs you'll never be able to go back to OEM halogens after this mod unless you buy new fog housings. I had to dremel a hole in my housings for the HID bulb wires to fit through. Then I had to splice wires and connect them directly to something on the car. Forgot -.-"

got everything working out fine. i wanted to use the oem cap cover to seal the water frmo getting in. so what i did was cut a slit on the cap, stuck the wires in and sealed it back up. and for the extreme HID kit frmo xenon depot. it isnt plug and play. i had to splice into my factory harness for it able to work.. im satisfied with the results tho! ill put pic up later. Thanks for the ideas guys!

I put it an H3 kit on my '01 ES300 and it wasn't so plug and play as described. The grommets, wiring, harnesses and housing all had to be modified to an extent. Maybe plug and play means different things to different people. In my case however, although the mods were slight, I can see how some people not previously exposed to wiring or hands on mods could get frustrated. Thank goodness for CL, I've been meaning to get my mod up with the pics to help out others, better get a move on it...glad you got it all to work out
