i seen phillips 6000k bulbs on a car i asked twice are you are they aint stock bulbs there was a thread about the phillips 6000k bulbs i cant seem to find it
if i was you, 6000k low , 6000k hi beam, 6000k fog
got a nuff light ?lol
This is typical ricer logic. The higher number doesn't mean it's brighter, it just tells you what color it is. Which is somewhat subjective between different brands anyway.

To determine how bright light is, you measure the lumens. 4300k bulbs will produce the most lumens. As you go higher in kelvin, the lights get dimmer. 20000k bulbs are not actually 20000 kelvin. Try converting that to *F and see how hot it is. It's simply a name for a color.

depends, i have both 6000k low beams with 4300k fogs. The fogs look PURE white when turned on with no yellow nor blue. The 6000k look white with a blueish tint to it, BUT it still looks white.

I think when those charts say 6000k looks white, they probably meant looking from the driver's perspective. I myself have noticed that I do not see any blue when looking at the light being emitted from inside of the car (with the 6000k), it just looks white.

I know that the color ratings are related to the temperature rating of a star. For example, the sun is about ~5800 degrees Kelvin and the sun is considered a "green" star even though WE do not see green. During noon, it looks white to most of us.

Well then its blue

I got 4300k hids in another car of mine. When i see 5000k or 6000k, they look heavly blue tinted.

IMO when your behind a car with 6000k hids, your gonna get used to that shade of blue. so its gonna appear more white then it really is.

Haha! I should have been more descriptive then. lol

Look at this picture, these HID's are 6000K, when you look directly into the center, they look white. But there is like a blueish halo around it. i guess that's what I mean. Look at the light hitting the ground, that light obviously looks white. Hope that clarifies what I meant.

Once again, consider the sun, its a ~5800K "green" star, but does it look green to any of us?

Haha, i'll admit, they look blueish. But what I'm talking about is the color on the ground. Doesn't that look white to you?

I find it funny how we swayed quite a bit off topic, so to keep it on topic... the Florida Statutes say that the low beams MUST be white, but it does NOT say what color the fog lights can be. So for BEST visibility while still keeping it legal, go with the 4300K HID low beams, and go for the 3000K HID fog lights.
