well i stand corrected, i had some older ones i used from VLED but the NEW 74's i got in a few weeks ago from VLED dont fit....i emailed bill this morning about it and im sending these back along with some resistors. im also gonna send him a link to here and see what he thinks....

yep, those are the same ones, no good for the footwells. the 1 smd will fit, but the output will be **** poor at best. i agree, if he had a universal #74 base we would be made in the shade. I swapped out everything on the dash and interior lights to vleds. he does have a lot on back order, not sure how long the wait is. keep us posted on your progress.

either one of you still have your bulbs that dont fit? i already sent mine back and i got my 1 SMD in which DEF is alot smaller and will fit but Bill asked me if i can get him some measurements. i can take one of our housing and the single SMD i have but cant measure the other ones....i also bought some boards to modify if i choose to do that

so thanks to LexusK i have measurements on the 5 SMD ones and i measured the single SMD ones

the 5 SMD is 19.5 mm tall, 4.5mm wide, 2mm thick and the single SMD is 19mm tall, 4.76mm wide and 1.58mm thick maybe its the thickness of the 5 smd that is stopping it from fitting it in our 74 slot. i emailed Bill and will see what he says

Hey, thanks for the leg work... I think I may just cut the socket and put a small board in there. The one SMD just doesn't get it done, for me. I will just order the board, it's to much hassle to do a return. I will update the thread when I complete this. Right now I'm trying to research why my rear lights above the doors won't work.
