Default Need some honest opinion on these vendors....

Hi everyone,

I'm about to swith out my 06 GS430 OEM LOW BEAM 4300K bulbs and also convert my FOGS to HID KIT...only problem is i don't know which brand to go with. I was going to go with Xenondepot but email them and they are on back order on the bulbs for quiet awhile now and i email them back and have gotten no response back for about 2 weeks now. So these are the two i have narrow down and if anybody has dealt with these brands...please give me your honest input. I want to go with 6000K...

www.iJDMTOY.com
(1) 6000K Garax D4S HID bulbs - $109.00
(1) 6000K 9006 HID Conversion Kit - $109.00

or

http://www.mobilehid.com/hid-kits.htm
(1) 6000K D4S HID bulbs - $90.00
(1) 6000K SLIM HID 9006 KIT - $225.00

HOW GOOD ARE THE BALLAST & BULBS ARE ON THESE TWO BRANDS???

THANK YOU FOR YOU INPUT AND HELP !!!

I too want to upgrade my fog lights to HID. I'm planning to go with xenondepot because it's good and it uses a 35w ballast. Mobilehid uses 50w. That is too high.

I actually have iJDMTOY for low beam and fogs. All I can say is that they're awesome! The color is real nice, hyper white with a blue hue. Low beams, I had them in for almost a year now and still running strong. Fogs about 3 months and no problems.

the after-market bulbs are awful and will/could ruin your headlights when they blow out prematurely. And the after-market ballasts are unreliable as well.

Your best bet is to purchase bulbs from either philips, osram, or GE and get a set of oem denso ballasts.

If you don't know what that means, go to hidplanet.com and read up on this stuff. After-market kits are cheap and you could suffer in the long run...

the mobile hid heavy duty kit is pretty nice...

one CL member has already run over his on accident and it still works. additionally it'll take a beating like a champ from a nice sized hammer.

never had an experience with IJDMTOY but i have had a great experience with mobilehid...

their 6000k D4S lows are the perfect color..

hyper white with a purple hue (and no... i'm not talking about Pink)... it's hard to find that...

i actually found a matching set eslewhere to match the fogs on my brother's GS... being that it is really hard to colormatch with the hint of purple.

i just purchased D2S 6000k lows from mobilehid also and i'm hoping for the same results... can't wait to put them on... weather sucks in the northeast.

those such after-market bulbs don't give you very much light output either compared to better quality bulbs of the same color.

Especially with the new IS250/350 models, their projectors are poorly performing as it is...

Cliffud all the way. Got the slim ballast 6k HID kit and it's awesome. Fits very well and WATERPROOF! The xenondepot HID my friend got is already flickering for some reason...

I also just got d4s bulbs for 20$ a pair...WTF? 20 bucks? who can resist? I also got a 8k HID kit as well for my DRL. to cliffud

As for iJDMtoy i received a 6k kit, and the colors did not match. One side was brighter and the other was yellowish. for them.

I've had very good experiences with Steve at Xenon Depot. I've ordered 5 sets of HIDs from him. Excellent communication and help whenever I needed anything (usually to order another set).
